filesdrop.net respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable law.

To report infringing content, send a takedown notice to support@filesdrop.net with the subject line "DMCA Takedown".

1. Filing a takedown notice

Your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (your full legal name);
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  3. The exact download link(s) (URL) of the material you want removed, so we can locate it;
  4. Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email);
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

2. Our response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, typically within a few business days, and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who uploaded it.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to support@filesdrop.net including your contact information, identification of the removed material and its location before removal, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.

4. Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
